Graduation Really!!!

Chris & Anthony

This is a busy year for me and my family!

My oldest son Anthony will be graduating in just a few short weeks, oh how time has flown by!
I am preparing for a Graduation Party and seem a little overwhelmed with all the preparations but I know we will enjoy seeing everyone that is able to come out and celebrate with us during this milestone in our son’s life and in ours.

We have paid for a lot of things already leading up to this occasion, we took a well needed family vacation on a cruise, cap, gown, tassel, diploma, pictures, participation in the ceremony and also prom and a camp for Strategic Intelligence.  We have been in the process of cutting down a huge tree in our background with help from a friend who has done a great job and my brother-in-law, so this big day can happen.

As I sit here putting a list together for the party, I think of how my son has grown from a boy to a young man who loves sharing his gift with everyone and who is ready to take the next step in this journey that God has laid out for him.  When I think on these things it seems as if some of the feeling of being overwhelmed just disappears.

Thank you God for guiding me and my husband in the direction you have to raise our children for you.  I know at times we don't necessarily always go in the direction you would like us to but I know you have used those misguided steps we have taken our children down for something more.  I would like to just say that through my journey as a parent I have always known that you have awesome things for Anthony and Chris to accomplish in life for your glory!

This is where I am going...

This is where I will be traveling to help spread God's love to some children in an orphanage and spending time with the Zambian people.

This map is of Zambia, Africa

And this map is of Kalomo, Zambia
Follow the railroad tracks at the bottom where it says Livingstone just northeast and you will see Kalomo.

Exciting News!

Hi there,

I have something exciting coming up in my life that I wanted to share with you!

God has always moved in my life in ways I have never thought possible.  Before I started working with youth I had a desire to travel.   I wanted to see as much of God’s masterpieces firsthand.  So, the path he has taken me down was to work with youth and show them how much they are loved and that God has a purpose for them as well.  It has been a great journey up to this point but God has more for me still.   I have always wanted a chance to go on an overseas mission trip but never thought  Africa, but God has done it again.  It reminds me of an Audio Adrenaline song Hands and Feet.

I'll go where You send me, go where You send me
I'll be Your hands
I'll be Your feet
I'll go where You send me, go where You send me

An opportunity has presented itself for me to be able to travel to Zambia, Africa to a town called Kalomo which is in southern Zambia, lying north east of Livingstone, on the main road and railway line to Lusaka.
The organization that I will be going through is called Africa’s Child. They have a dream of revaluation of changing lives, families and communities through the power of Jesus Christ and through service to others.

While there I will be volunteering at Namwianaga Mission Orphanage.  At the orphanage I will love on precious children who have little in this life, which is a huge need because many of these children hold on to life by a thread.  We will also be visiting the compounds, which are neighborhoods, building friendships and spending time with the Zambian people.  Africa’s Child has purchased property for their God-sized vision to build a Life Center for children with AIDS and their families to receive medical, spiritual and material aid and we will visit the location.

Our team will be traveling September 17th through the 26th, 2013. The cost will be $3,000 and I am working hard to raise funds for the trip.  I know I can not accomplish this task on my own and that I trust God will provide.

Please pray and think about what you can donate.  I appreciate the amount you can give and all donations are tax deductible.  Please make checks out to Paradox Church.  It’s alright if you cannot help me out financially but please pray for me I have listed a few requests.

1.     As I write I am having a difficult time asking for help to go on this trip.
2.     For safe travels.
3.     The group would work well together.
4.     For my husband and boys while I am away from them.

I would like to thank you for your support for me through prayer, financially or both.

Trusting Him,

Amber

Nuclear Cowboyz Review

On February 11th, 2012 I had the opportunity to attend Nuclear Cowboys at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Nuclear Cowboyz is the legend of two powerful freestyle motocross tribes whose survival in their futuristic world is told through an action-packed narrative of fearless freestyle aerial feats, gravity defying stunts, and outrageous pyrotechnic displays synchronized to hard rock music.

Over all the show was great, my boys did not really care for the plot though. They really enjoyed the stunts that were performed, the pyrotechnic displays synchronized to hard rock music and liked the choice of music used during the show.

Immediately following the show, fans had a unique opportunity to meet their favorite riders and the entire cast of the Nuclear Cowboyz 2012 tour during an open autograph session on the concourse. These included recent X Games 17 medalists Mike Mason, Ronnie Faisst and Adam Jones with Taka Higashino, Beau Bamburg, Derek Garland, Nixey Danielson, Brody Wilson, Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Dustin Miller, Wes Agee, Geoff Aaron, Keith Wineland, Derek Guetter and brothers Colton and Caleb Moore.

Feld Entertainment has provided me with tickets in exchange for my reviews and sharing of discount offers. Although I receive these benefits all opinions are my own.
