What Are You Burying?
There has been this dream at my church for years about building a gym. This dream is way over due, but how can we expect God to give us more when we don't use what He has given us to the fullest.
I am reminded of a parable in Matthew 25 where three servants are given talents one was given five, another two and yet another one. The one given five used them and doubled what he was given. The servant that was given two also used what was given him, but the servant who was given one buried his and came back with what he was given originally. Yes he came back with what his lord gave him but he never used what was given to him in the first place.
In the chapter it tells how God gave much to the first two servants to rule over because they used what He gave them. The other servant He took his talent from him because he did not use it.
So, I think we need to think of what God has given to us and use that talent or resource so He can do what He needs done. We are a body and that means everyone needs to pitch in there is something for everyone to do, you just need to step up.
I get so frustrated when people say oh that program or event would work, but expect someone else to do it and then they sit back and don't help or don't do it themselves.
I also dream of a church gym but how do we as a church expect God to give us more to work with when we as a church is not using what we have already. This is also true to the church as a whole, in that I mean the church body as God sees it. You don't have to have but one talent to do something great for God; He proves that to us all the time through other people around us. We just have to be willing to not bury what God has blessed us with to further His kingdom.
I have one question for you, do you want to hear the words that the first two servants heard "Well done, thou good and faithful servant thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things" or what the last servant heard "Thou wicked and slothful servant"?
Matthew 25:29 says "For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath."
So I pray that as a church we use what talents God has given us to the fullest so He can bless us with more for His glory.

Superbowl
Honestly this is the first time I really want to see the Superbowl.
Not necessarily to watch the game put to watch an ad that
will air during the game.
The ads theme is "Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life".
This ad will have the Heisman Trophy winning college star Tim Tebow and his mom and focuses on Mrs. Tebow's pregnancy with Tim when doctors encouraged her to abort her son while she and her husband were missionaries in Philippines. So tune in February 7th on CBS at 6:00p.m. ET.
For more info on this please check out this link
The Bible passage he wears painted under his eyes is
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Wrapping Paper?
This is what Me and my family found while unwrapping our Christmas gifts on New Year's Day at my sisters.
Protect your head and neck from injury
*Do not hide or tack down any power cords. Keep power cords out of traffic areas to avoid tripping.
*Have children put their toys away.
*Keep walk and roadway areas outside your home cleared and sanded.
*Be aware of road conditions before you leave home.
*Wear a seatbelt when in a car.
*Drive within the speed limit and be aware of road conditions and other vehicles around you. Do not drink and drive.
*Use a safety helmet when riding a motorcycle or bicycle.
*Never dive into a body of water headfirst until you are sure it is deep enough. Lower yourself into the water feet first.
*Keep emergency numbers near the phone.
*Do not overburden yourself with packages.
*If you are using a step stoolmake sure it has a handrail that you can hold on to while standing on the top step.
*Turn on more lights.
*Make sure all passageways are well lit.
*Place non-slip strips or decals in tub and shower.
*Devise a plan and practice a "drill" in the event someone gets injured.
And my favorite...
*Avoid wearing socks, slippers, or smooth-soled shoes in the home.
So when are you supposed to wear slippers?
This was on the back of some wrapping paper.
